Printing

USF Libraries — Tampa campus

Printing/copying services in the USF Tampa Library are offered by USF Information Technology (IT). If you have any problems, please contact the IT help@usf.edu or by calling 813-974-1222. Printing costs are 11 cents per page for black and white and 22 cents per page for color.
  1. Printing in the USF Tampa Library requires using either a USFCard or a guest card.
  2. If you are using a student USFCard, your card will allow you to print up to $2.50/day for free. Additional printing in a given day will be automatically deducted from your USF BullBuck$ account. To add BullBuck$ to your USFCard, use the machine across from the Library Services Desk or go online to www.usf.edu/bullbucks.
  3. If you do not have a USFCard, you will need to purchase a $1 guest card from the machine located across from the Library Services Desk. You can put as much money as you wish on your guest card (cash only, no coins).
  4. Open the document using the appropriate application.
  5. Print the document choosing the appropriate PHAROS installed printer. The printer name will look like LIB113B&W.
  6. After selecting the printer, a pop-up window will prompt you for a User Name. Type in any name (for example, your NetID) that someone else is unlikely to use. Remember what you typed; it will help you in locating your print job in the next step.
  7. Printers are located in the Learning Commons by the IT Help Desk. Go to any of the available printers and swipe your USFCard or guest card. Look on the screen for the job you printed in the print queue under the User Name you selected in the previous step. Select your print job.
  8. On the bottom of the screen, you will see how many pages and the cost of the job.
  9. Select Print. Your print job will print and the funds will be subtracted from the amount on your card.
  1. Open the document using the appropriate application.
  2. Print the document choosing the appropriate PHAROS installed printer. The printer name will look like ENB118B&W.

  5. Swipe your valid Student ID Card or Bull Buck$ guest card. In order to print your Bull Buck$ account needs to have funds.

Students can print from any of the open use computers in the Information Commons rotunda study area, group study area, or from the computers located in Jonathan’s Café. All print jobs are sent to the student use printers, located next to the Academic Resource Desk and in the group study area. You will need your USFSM ID to release your print job. Students are provided with $2.50 worth of free daily printing, paid for by the Student Government Association (enough for 22 black-and-white pages, or 11 color ones). Unused pages do not roll over to the next day. If you need to print more than this daily allotment, you can add money to your BullBucks account. Don’t worry, your free pages will be used up first.
